Brands & 10DLC
Register your business for US A2P 10DLC so your texts deliver reliably.
US carriers require business texting over local numbers to be registered — a brand (your business identity) and a campaign (your use case). Unregistered traffic gets filtered or blocked by carriers. HUM walks you through registration under Brands.
What you'll register
- Brand — your legal business identity: name, EIN, address, contact. This is verified with carriers.
- Campaign (use case) — what you text about (customer care, appointment reminders, marketing), sample messages, and how people opt in.
The process
- Fill in the brand details under Brands and submit.
- Once the brand is approved, register your use case.
- Approval timelines vary from hours to days depending on carrier review.
- When approved, your numbers send under the registered campaign and deliverability improves immediately.
Tips
- Use your exact legal entity name and EIN — mismatches are the most common rejection reason.
- Describe opt-in honestly (e.g. "customers provide their number during intake calls").
- Include opt-out language in marketing templates; HUM's automatic STOP handling covers the rest.
