Bea — Your HUM Assistant

The built-in AI assistant that knows your data, your pages, and how HUM works.

Bea is the assistant built into HUM. She's on every page — click the sparkles button in the corner (or press Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+B) and ask.

What Bea can do

  • Answer product questions — "How do I add a phone number?", "How do business hours work?" Bea searches this Help Center and answers with citations.
  • Work with your data — "Find recent calls about billing", "Who called most this week?" Bea searches your organization's calls, contacts, voicemails, messages, and notes.
  • Reason about the page you're on — on a call page, Bea has the transcript, summary, and caller in front of her. Ask "what did this caller need?" or "list the action items".
  • Draft for you — "Draft a follow-up email covering what we promised on this call." Bea writes it from the actual transcript and contact record; you copy, polish, and send.
  • Help mid-call — during a live softphone call Bea tracks the call you're on, so "summarize so far" and "draft the email I just promised" work in the moment.

Context awareness

Bea automatically knows which page you're viewing — a call, a contact, an AI agent — and grounds her answers in it. The context chip at the top of the chat shows what she's looking at.

Conversations

Your chats with Bea are private to you. Use the history menu to revisit a past conversation or start a new one; conversations remember the page they started from.

Good to know

  • Bea only sees your organization's data, and only what your account can access.
  • Bea cites Help Center articles with links so you can verify anything.
  • Bea won't invent data — if something isn't in your records or the docs, she says so.
