AI answering for HVAC, plumbing & electrical companies

You’re elbow-deep in a condenser and the phone is ringing with the next job. HUM answers, books the work with the details you need, texts customers your arrival window — and wakes up the on-call tech only when it’s a real emergency.

You can’t hold a wrench and a phone

Home-services companies lose the most calls at exactly the moments they’re doing the work that pays.

Missed calls go to competitors

A homeowner with a dead AC in July books whoever answers. Voicemail is a referral to the other guys.

2am emergencies need triage

Burst pipe? Real emergency, wake the tech. Dripping faucet? Book it for morning. Someone has to make that call — literally.

Seasonal revenue left unclaimed

Tune-up season and maintenance-plan renewals are predictable money — if anyone had time to run the call list.

FAQ

Common questions

How does HUM decide what’s a real emergency?
You define it in the flow: the questions Bea asks (Is water actively flowing? Any smell of gas — if so, your safety script runs first), and what qualifies for an immediate warm transfer to the on-call tech versus a first-slot morning booking. Your rules, enforced consistently at 2am.
Can it book jobs into our field-service software?
Yes — through MCP tools that call your FSM’s API mid-conversation, the vendor-neutral CRM connector for customer lookup and job activity, and signed webhooks for real-time events. If your software has an API, HUM can book into it.
Can customers text us pictures of the problem?
Yes. Two-way SMS and MMS run on the same number — customers text photos, Bea can ask for them (“a photo of the unit’s label helps us bring the right part”), and images are stored with the conversation and pushed to your systems.
What about our seasonal tune-up list?
Upload the list or drive it by API and HUM runs the campaign: throttled calls with per-customer context, retries inside quiet hours, voicemail drop, SMS follow-up, and booked/declined/unreachable outcomes back to you.
How fast can we get this running?
Most companies have a working flow the same day: pick or port a number (or forward your existing line), choose a flow template, set business hours and emergency rules, and go live. The 14-day trial includes a number and an agent to test with.
